"It was an evening like any other. I had just finished up a long day of work at the construction site and I was on my way back to the house to enjoy dinner with my wife. It was a 45 minute drive back to the house so I grabbed my trusty flask and some Miller from the Yeti cooler in the bed of my truck. About 40 minutes into the drive and about a mile away from my house an officer pulled me over. Said that I was violating the law because I had taken out 2 mail boxes, 3 shrubs, and sideswiped a row of cars. I don't remember any of that happening. I was just trying to get home from a hard day of work in what I thought was a free country. Next thing I know I can't drive to earn my income and I owe bond and court costs."

"I've supported this nation's shipping and transit sector for 25 years and these dirty politicians feel they have the right to tell me how to live my life. It's not fair that I can't enjoy a nice gin and tonic behind the wheel of my semi truck when I'm much better loaded in the bed and in the cab. After 7 DUI's without incident you'd think these fat cats would get the message that drunk truckers are no danger to their precious "society." Support the people who support your infrastructure. Support drunk truckers. Support the DDAA and our cause."

"Guatemalans drink as tradition. It's part of my cultural heritage and I wish to share that as a naturalized citizen of this nation. I went to prison for driving through the living room of my client's house as a contracted moving specialist. 4 years I spent behind bars for an accident that could have been rectified with a civil settlement if not for abhorrent drunk driving laws. I am a proud American, not a hardened criminal."
